Day 1: Nairobi → Mt Kenya National Park
Depart Nairobi in the morning for Mt Kenya National Park. After stopping at the colorful Karatina market, enjoy the afternoon at your lodge overlooking the mountain slopes. Dinner and overnight among the alpine forest.
Day 2: Mt Kenya → Samburu Game Reserve
After breakfast, depart the highlands towards Samburu via changing climatic zones. Arrive for an afternoon game drive into the semi-arid frontier landscape along the Ewaso Nyiro River. Overnight in a luxury lodge by the reserve.
Day 3: Full Day Samburu
Enjoy a full day of game viewing with picnic lunch and multiple drives along the riverbank. Spot unique northern Kenya species such as reticulated giraffe, Grevy’s zebra, oryx and Somali ostrich, as well as lion, elephant and cheetah. Overnight lodge.
Day 4: Samburu → Lake Nakuru National Park
After breakfast, drive to Lake Nakuru arriving in time for lunch. Afternoon game drive around the lake and rhino sanctuary — famed for its huge flamingo flocks and birdlife. Dinner and overnight at a comfortable lodge near the park.
Day 5: Lake Nakuru → Masai Mara National Reserve
Depart after breakfast for Masai Mara, arriving ahead of lunch. Afternoon game drive in the Mara — a prime location for predators, big-cats and sweeping savannah views. Overnight in an upscale lodge or tented camp.
Day 6: Full Day Masai Mara
After breakfast, enjoy a full-day game drive (with picnic lunch) exploring the Mara’s vast plains, river crossings and abundance of wildlife. Optional visit to a Maasai village at extra cost. Dinner and overnight.
Day 7: Masai Mara → Lake Naivasha
Early morning game drive, then check out after breakfast and journey to Lake Naivasha via Narok. Arrive in the afternoon; options include boat ride, nature walk or leisure time at the lodge. Dinner and overnight.
Day 8: Lake Naivasha → Amboseli National Park
Morning visit to Hell’s Gate National Park (optional walk/bike) and thereafter proceed via Nairobi to Amboseli. Arrive in time for an afternoon drive with views of Mt Kilimanjaro in the background. Dinner and overnight at a luxury lodge.
Day 9: Full Day Amboseli
Enjoy morning and afternoon game drives across Amboseli’s open plains and swamp areas. Focus on elephant herds, hippos, birdlife and photo-worthy views of Kilimanjaro (weather permitting). Picnic lunch. Overnight lodge.
Day 10: Amboseli → Nairobi (Departure)
Early morning game drive, return to lodge for breakfast, then transfer back to Nairobi via the Namanga route. Drop-off at Jomo Kenyatta Airport or Nairobi hotel. End of safari.
